Our September 21st Blind Tasting
September 14, 2013

We here at The Century Bar are neck deep into Bourbon Heritage month, and you can’t honestly celebrate Bourbon Heritage month without a blind tasting.
Our September tasting is going to be a little extra special this month for two reasons: First, with it being Bourbon Heritage month, we’re going to be doing a little something extra (you’ll have to attend to find out!). Second, we WILL NOT be doing an October blind tasting, so if you’re on the fence about attending, let that be your motivation.
The tasting will take place on September 21st at 3:30 p.m. As with most of our other tastings, this tasting will be blind. We like to do these tasting blind because it’s important to try and strip away “label prejudice”. We want the bourbon to speak for itself, and not have the bottle or the brand influence the tasting. Plus, you never know — you may discover a great bourbon that you would have avoided otherwise.
Tickets for the tasting are $40, which includes pours of six bourbons, lunch, local coffee, and bourbon inspired desserts. All bourbons are pre-poured, so as to take the label prejudice out of drinking. We will unveil the bourbons while you are having coffee and desserts. The tasting starts at 3:30 and lasts about 3 hours. Tickets for our tasting are available now.
